NEWS & EVENTS
IN THE WORKS:

MAY 2010: The SCCC Writer's Conference was a huge success. R.J. Huneke gave an hour long presentation on e.e. cummings and his works, and R.J. also attended a riveting workshop on screenwriting.
The entire RUNE WORKS team has been confirmed for the 2010 New York Comic Con event taking place in NYC, at the Javits Center, in October. Attend!
A new novel has been planned and is codenamed "The Game."
FEBRUARY 2010: R.J. Huneke has completed his third novel titled Homeland Security: the Drunken Fallacies of a Federal Agent.
SEPTEMBER 2009:
With the start of the school year R.J. Huneke has begun writing for the Stony Brook University newspaper "The Statesman" and two publications were released on September 3, 2009. More articles and pictures will be receiving similar treatment, so stay tuned! The novel progresses slowly, but surely as well. Adventures leak as is from a broken faucet...a waterfall will follow.
AUGUST 2009:
The University will be calling at the end of the month, but until then R.J. Huneke will be writing as much as inhumanly possible. At the month's start he will head to Boston and then onto Chicago to photograph a Cubs game and see Phish in concert (four times that week all over the northeast). Adventure, art and tall tales are sure to follow.
JULY 2009:
Mac is now officially powering Rune Works! The new novel, code-named "Detective Story" is well under way. Look for hints from this book, which R.J. Huneke will be dropping over time to promote his newest literary project. Art, particularly in the form of photographs, grows, like mushrooms in a soggy grass field.
JUNE 2009:
Photographs, prints, and artwork continue to surface from Rune Works of late (many of this was inspired by the attended Phish concerts in Mass. and New York) and can be seen on the Blog, as well as elsewhere on the site. Aside from the completion of Ways, R.J. Huneke has also began a sequel, and a completely new novel of philosophical suspense which is taking off and could be completed within the summer months! R.J. Huneke is now on Twitter and can be found at: http://twitter.com/RJ_Huneke
MAY 2009:
BIG CHANGES to the web site! Stay tuned for a revamping of the site. R.J. Huneke has had two more chapters of his novel published as short stories in the East End Elements literary magazine's Spring 2009 issue!
APRIL 2009:
RUNE WORKS productions has just taken the siren from my novel Ways and paid homage to the reborn creature/women by adding the SIREN Section to the site. Visceral portrayals of the beautiful siren and her affect on one victim is displayed in the art form of photography. See the portraits and beware...
The Spring 2009 Suffolk Community College Creative Writing Festival (on the Selden campus, NY) will be taking place in a couple of weeks and I will be attending. For all of you students and writers out there, I look forward to seeing you there!
MARCH 2009:
On the day that over a foot of snow rises outside my door the final fifteen pages of Ways have been written! Today I should have been in school and then working for the day's remainder, not writing. Instead the winter's heart has given me an opportunity. The novel that has been two years in the making is now complete. The ending was exhilarating. The work that has been the influence of nearly everything to come from RUNE WORKS productions in the last couple of years is finished. The time has come to find an agent and a publisher. The words need print.
I will be attending the Spring 2009 Suffolk Community College Creative Writing Festival on April 25,2009. Hope to see you there!

FEBRUARY 2009:
RUNE WORKS productions had a great showing at the New York Comic Con this year! My piece was donated to the C.B.L.D.F. and publications were given out showcasing chapters of my upcoming book to many in attendance. The Impulsive Reviews will have continual appearances on this site as well as on the ever growing Impossibleminds.com web site (home of Impossible Minds Entertainment). Be sure to be on the lookout for a lot more writing in the upcoming weeks.

JANUARY 2009:
The new year is upon us and it will be an exciting one. My novel Ways is about to be finished and entered into the 2009 Penguin and Amazon.com Writing Contest in February. Rune Works will be further represented with pending publications. The New York Comic Con is less than three weeks away and the entire Rune Works team will be present there, with writing in tow. I will be donating a unique piece of writing at Comic Con to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund who will be auctioning it off with other art to help raise money for pending court cases involving First Amendment Rights. Lastly I would like to say that the Impossible Minds Entertainment website has been relaunched by its Producer and Editor-In-Chief Kurt Zisa. Impossible Minds Entertainment (IME) serves as a proprietary development company for a small group of highly talented industry professionals. These professionals use IME as the platform to create and develop their own forms of entertainment media through a wide array of genres and platforms. IME will be releasing an innovative indepandant literary journal in the upcoming year. I will be providing Impulsive Reviews for IME as well as writing and Executive Editor duties. For any inquiries of Impossible Minds Entertainment you can reach me here or check out the official site: http://www.impossibleminds.com/Site/Home.html

NOVEMBER:
The rumors are true: Rune Works Productions has indeed upgraded the entire system on the floor to Mac powered machines. The PCs have been replaced and will not be missed. The POETRY section continues to grow, as does the conclusion of the novel Ways. There are also a couple of publications on the horizon that will be made public as soon as they become available, or at least until their code of silence can be broken.

MARCH 2008:
I have been informed that Newsday's Impulse Review section, which has been running for years, has (like too much of the paper recently) been scrapped by the new editors' creed to show more of a quarterly profit. Maybe I broke it, I don't know. What I do know is that I continue to write and have even sent things to Newsday that could appear under R.J. Huneke (no picture this time) in the near future. I have received one confirmation from them of a Knicks article they wanted to use, but I have yet to see it in print (check my blog to see it). I am unhappy that one of the few places for young/or fun people to look to find out about cool new bars/restaurants, music, and movies is no more. I will be writing to Newsday to complain about this and I encourage anyone who enjoyed the Impulse Reviews to do so also. The editor for Newsday can easily be reached here by email and maybe we the people can bring it back:
