Rune Works is ecstatic to announce that R.J. Huneke's newest thriller novel will also become a graphic novel written by the author!
"I feel this work has a lot of intrigue for potential readers, and with its sharp, visual qualities, making a dystopian graphic novel makes a lot of sense," says Huneke.
"I think that my vision for the grim 2020's world built in the novel will fit extremely well into one of my favorite realms of literature, the graphic novel. I have been a huge fan of comic books for most of my life, and I owe them with my starting to read and create art (and writing) in my life; at four I began making my own comics, and I have yet to cease to read/write in some kind of medium. I am going to greatly enjoy this process and see where this work - which I think has innumerable possibilities - can take me. Anything's possible!"
There is no word yet on who will be penciling the graphic novel, or its title, but we are busting in anticipation to find out more.
The story has been written, and the first draft of my newest dystopian thriller novel is complete!
It has been quite a ride, and my arduous research and many months of writing have yielded an incredible tale that shakes the notions of societal norms and controls.
Looking back on the process it seems clear to me now that the Jeremy Bentham Panopticon concept - especially as it was utilized by philosopher Michel Foucault - was in the back of my mind fueling me as I worked on this piece.
Do not let my inner philosoph scare you; this book is a thriller of epic proportions from start to finish and the dystopic world built has haunting echoes of what our world's immediate future could become.
Thanks to everyone for all of the support over the past year as I've worked on this. It's been a fun part of my life that is going into unknown territory now, which is exciting and terrifying at the same time.
R.J. Huneke's Impulsive Review of the newest Batman film can be viewed on Fantasy-Matters.
Here's a sneak preview:
The third installment in Christopher Nolan’s incredible Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, can be summed up in one word: intense!
Nolan’s final vision for the caped crusader is one of the most poignant takes on the (in)famous comic book vigilante and hero, and it is an apt look into possibly the most realistic fantasy story based on the Batman to date.
From R.J. Huneke's Blog:
"What I can say now is that the R.J. Huneke novel THE CAPITOL MOVEMENT is well underway with more than 150+ pages written...this dystopian thriller will act as a start to a new series, where the Rune Works published novel THE SUBLIMINAL RELIGION would fit in as a prequel"

The web series of short stories will consist of mystery, suspense, technology, robots, and a journey through Penn Station, all form three eight year old's point of view.
